Engines of Fury Season 2 Now Live

Engines of Fury Season 2

Engines of Fury has just kicked off Initiates Season 2, and it’s bigger and better than ever. With new Co-op and Scavenger Modes, the Temporary Initiate’s Pass, and the Single-Use Engine Core, players have fresh ways to explore the wasteland, craft loot, and earn $FURY tokens. Whether you’re a seasoned raider or a newcomer, this season makes diving into the world of blockchain games more exciting and accessible than ever.

What Is Engines of Fury?

Engines of Fury is a web3 PvPvE extraction shooter set in a post-apocalyptic industrial wasteland. Players navigate dangerous maps filled with mutant creatures, rival raiders, and hidden loot. Matches are intense: die during a raid, and you lose your gear, which can then be looted by other players.

The game is played from a top-down perspective, with real-time combat, limited visibility, sound cues, and tactical positioning. Maps like Fairwater and Cliffside challenge players to gather resources and escape alive. Surviving raids allows you to return to your hideout, the central hub for crafting, storage, upgrades, and economic activity.

The hideout contains essential modules like:

  • Generator: Powers all other systems.

  • Biolab: Crafts Faction Lockboxes.

  • Engine: Unlocks Lockboxes to obtain ALLOY.

Engines of Fury operates with a dual-currency system: ALLOY, a soft in-game resource, and $FURY, an on-chain token earned by converting ALLOY. This loop—gathering materials, crafting Lockboxes, unlocking them, and converting ALLOY into $FURY—forms the core of the play-to-earn experience.

Initiates Season 2 Updates

Season 2 introduces four major features:

  1. Co-op Mode

  2. Scavenger Mode

  3. Temporary Initiate’s Pass

  4. Single-Use Engine Core

These updates expand tactical gameplay, provide alternative earning methods, and make the game more accessible for newcomers.

Co-op Mode: Team Up for Success

Co-op Mode allows two players to team up and enter raids together. Invitations are sent directly from the hideout using the nickname search. Once accepted, the duo spawns at the same point, allowing for coordinated attacks and loot collection.

This mode is perfect for tackling stronger enemies and high-risk areas while enjoying the strategic depth of teamwork. Co-op Mode also creates opportunities for shared rewards, giving players a tactical edge in resource-rich zones.

Scavenger Mode: A Safe Way to Raid

Scavenger Mode is designed for risk-averse players or those without their own gear. Players start with a low-tier loadout and cannot use personal equipment. Loot restrictions apply, meaning Big Loot Boxes or Council Caches are unavailable, and extracted items are taxed 20% by the Council.

Despite these limitations, Scavenger Mode offers a risk-free way to gather resources, making it ideal for newcomers or veterans looking to farm safely. Access it via the Comms Station, select your map, and choose Scavenger Mode to begin your low-risk adventure.

Temporary Initiate’s Pass: Unlock Seasonal Rewards

The Temporary Initiate’s Pass grants the Initiated Raider status, allowing players to access Council Caches during raids. Unlike permanent NFTs, this seasonal pass lasts only until the next monthly wipe and can be purchased for 2000 $FURY at the hideout Trading Station.

Each day, a 5-hour window activates upon entering a raid, enabling players to open Council Caches. Each map contains six caches, with at least one holding a rare Faction Shard. This seasonal pass is a great way to jump into play-to-earn activities without committing to permanent NFTs.

Single-Use Engine Core: One-Time ALLOY Access

The Single-Use Engine Core is a consumable item that allows a player to unlock one Faction Lockbox at the Engine module. Priced at 400 $FURY, it provides a one-time method to extract ALLOY without needing a permanent Core NFT.

Keep in mind: the Engine consumes significant power, so ensure your Generator is upgraded and supplied with Globs of Fuel before unlocking your Lockboxes.

How to Play to Earn in Season 2

Earning in Engines of Fury revolves around gathering ALLOY, collecting Faction Shards, crafting Lockboxes, and converting resources into $FURY. Season 2 offers multiple paths:

  • Co-op Mode: Team up for safer, high-value raids.

  • Scavenger Mode: Gather resources risk-free.

  • Council Caches: Open them with the Temporary Initiate’s Pass for ALLOY and rare Shards.

  • Faction Lockboxes: Craft and unlock them using the Engine or Single-Use Engine Core.

The Engine can unlock 100 to 10,000 ALLOY per Lockbox, which can then be converted into $FURY at the Trading Station. This cycle encourages strategic gameplay and creates opportunities for newcomers to step into the blockchain gaming ecosystem.

Why You Should Try Engines of Fury

Engines of Fury is free to play on Windows PCs and Mac via the Epic Games Store. Season 2 makes it easier than ever for beginners to join the economic loop while still challenging experienced players. With the addition of Co-op Mode, Scavenger Mode, Temporary Initiate Passes, and Single-Use Engine Cores, there are now multiple ways to engage, explore, and earn.

If you’re ready to experience a dynamic web3 PvPvE shooter with meaningful economic incentives, Engines of Fury Initiates Season 2 is the perfect entry point into the world of play-to-earn blockchain games.
