A New Robot Mayhem Experience Arrives
If you’ve been craving a fresh dose of mobile PvP chaos, Villains: Robot Battle Royale is landing right on time. Launching worldwide on November 26 at 14:00 (UTC+9), this new title from Birdletter Inc. blends the fast-paced intensity of battle royale with MOBA-style strategy—all wrapped into four-minute matches that feel tailor-made for quick, adrenaline-filled sessions.
Available on both iOS and Android, Villains will also debut on Immutable Play, connecting players to events, trading features, and a wider ecosystem of blockchain games.
Let’s break down everything you need to know before dropping into Helcatraz.
Inside the Core Gameplay
At its heart, Villains: Robot Battle Royale is about surviving criminal chaos inside Helcatraz, a prison planet loaded with the galaxy’s worst rule-breakers.Each match throws you into a tight, 4-minute arena—either solo or duo—where your goal is simple: outlast everyone else.
What makes the gameplay stand out?
Criminal-themed Villains: Each character has unique traits that affect how you pilot your mech.
Customizable robots: Mech parts, loadouts, and Power Stones help you build a playstyle that fits you.
Constant action: Tiny maps mean you're always fighting, chasing, or escaping—no slow moments.
Quick sessions: Matches are short enough for lunch breaks or commuting.
The mix of traits and mech builds opens up a surprising amount of tactical depth, especially as players start experimenting with builds and counters.
The New Super Villain System
Launching alongside the global release is the biggest update the game has seen yet: the Super Villain system.
This system expands progression and introduces web3-enabled trading. Here’s how it works:
How to unlock a Super Villain
Level a villain to 20.
Link your Immutable account.
Use Diamonds and Hell Points to awaken them.
Available grades
Rare
Epic
Legendary
Mythic
Higher grades boost your stats and unlock more slots for Power Stones. Mythic forms take things further by enabling fusion, rebirth, and trading.
Evolving your Super Villains
To climb the ranks, you’ll need to consume multiple villains of the same grade:
3 Epics → 1 Legendary
3 Legendaries → 1 Mythic
Once Mythic level is achieved, fusion and rebirth allow you to reroll stats, rebuild Power Stone types, and optimize the character for competitive play. Mythic Super Villains can be traded freely on TokenTrove, adding a player-driven layer to progression.
The update also adds:
One-click level-ups
A revamped Daily Shop
New raid missions
A Villain Pass based on notoriety
A special “Foxy” event reward for connecting an Immutable account
The World of Helcatraz
Don’t expect cutscenes or lore dumps—Villains keeps things simple. Helcatraz is a prison world filled with outlaws, and that’s about all you need to know. Each match is a standalone battle to become the last villain standing.
The map design is intentionally compact, keeping the camera close to the action and the tension high. This design choice fits the game’s philosophy: short matches, fast decisions, and constant encounters.
Built by Birdletter Inc.
Birdletter Inc., the studio behind Villains, specializes in stylized mobile games with expressive characters. Formed by the founders of CHALLABROS Inc., they’re known for quirky art styles and easy-to-learn controls.
Their previous mobile titles include:
Mad For Dance
MATOKI: Space Puzzle
GURR
Although Mad For Dance is the only one still available today, these earlier releases helped shape the studio’s creative direction—colorful characters, accessible mechanics, and strong visual identity. Villains continues that pattern but adds a competitive edge and a blockchain-powered progression system.
Powered by the MARBLEX Ecosystem
One of the biggest strengths of Villains is its integration with the MARBLEX blockchain ecosystem, built by Netmarble. MARBLEX gives developers tools for digital assets, token-based economies, and cross-game event systems.
Other titles using the MARBLEX platform include:
A3: STILL ALIVE – A PvP-heavy MMORPG with massive 100v100 battles.
Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds – A fantasy RPG with VR themes and tokenized assets.
Meta Toy DragonZ Saga – Pixel dragons, dungeons, arenas, and Immutable Play rewards.
Self-Made Billionaire – A business simulation with real-time strategy.
Pocket Girls – A fast-progression idle RPG.
Dice Go: The Showdown – A turn-based combat board game with October’s 43,500 MBX leaderboard prize pool.
The inclusion of Villains in this lineup means players can expect ecosystem-wide events, marketplace trading, token use cases, and potentially deeper web3 integration over time.
Microsoft Partnership Signals Future Upgrades
In October, MARBLEX signed a partnership with Microsoft to strengthen blockchain game development using Azure and Copilot Studio. This includes an accelerator program aimed at AI-assisted game-building tools.
While this won’t immediately change the Villains launch experience, it could open doors for smarter in-game tools, better backend support, or new AI-driven features.
Launching Tomorrow Worldwide
Villains: Robot Battle Royale goes live globally on November 26, ready for download on the App Store and Google Play. It will also be part of Immutable Play’s leaderboard events—meaning rewards, challenges, and competitive incentives are just around the corner.
If you love fast-paced combat, mech customization, and the emerging world of blockchain games, this is one launch you won’t want to miss.
