Sorare Clue Hunt

Sorare is bringing back its Clue Hunt special event for Game Week 19, giving managers another chance to compete for valuable Crafting Clue packages. Running from October 2 through October 6, the event combines the returning Cap 240 format with All Star eligibility across three separate card scarcities.

For managers building squads in Sorare 27, this is more than another fantasy football competition. Crafting Clues can make the difference between blindly selecting a newly crafted card and making a more informed choice.

Sorare Clue Hunt Arrives for Game Week 19

The Clue Hunt is designed to help managers replenish their supply of Crafting Clues while continuing to compete with their existing collections.

Game Week 19 introduces three separate competitions:

  • Limited Clue Hunt

  • Rare Clue Hunt

  • Super Rare Clue Hunt

Each scarcity has its own leaderboard, keeping the competition balanced. The event also features All Star coverage, meaning managers aren't restricted to players from a single league.

The competitions run from October 2 to October 6, with lineups built under the returning Cap 240 rules.

For players interested in the wider world of blockchain games, Sorare remains an interesting example of how collectible digital assets can be connected directly to real-world sports performance.

How the Cap 240 Format Works

The defining feature of this Clue Hunt is the Cap 240 lineup restriction.

Managers must select five players, but their combined average score cannot exceed 240 points. Every player has an average based on recent performances, so assembling a lineup isn't simply about picking the biggest names available.

Instead, Cap 240 encourages managers to search for players whose potential exceeds their current average.

That creates an interesting strategic puzzle. A manager might have access to several elite stars but still be unable to fit them into the same lineup. Meanwhile, someone with a collection of strong mid-tier cards can potentially build a highly competitive squad.

The format therefore rewards:

  • Finding players in good current form

  • Identifying undervalued cards

  • Balancing the five-player lineup carefully

  • Predicting who can outperform their recent average

  • Making efficient use of available card depth

It's a format where knowing the player pool can matter just as much as owning rare cards.

Three Competitions Keep the Playing Field Balanced

The Clue Hunt doesn't place every manager into one giant competition.

Instead, Limited, Rare and Super Rare cards each receive their own event. This is important because Sorare's different card scarcities come with different levels of bonuses and collection requirements.

Separating the competitions prevents higher-scarcity cards from dominating a shared leaderboard.

At the same time, All Star coverage significantly expands the available player pool. Managers can select footballers from across Sorare's licensed competitions rather than being restricted to one particular league.

That combination makes Cap 240 particularly interesting. Managers have plenty of options when searching for five players who fit underneath the points ceiling.

What Are Sorare Crafting Clues?

The real attraction of the event comes from its rewards.

Successful managers can earn Crafting Clue packages, which are connected to Sorare's crafting system. Instead of simply receiving another card, managers get information that can help them make decisions when crafting.

In Sorare 27, crafting uses Essence. A craft costs 1,000 Essence and produces 10 face-down cards, with the manager then selecting one.

Without any additional information, that selection is essentially a gamble.

Crafting Clues provide some visibility before making the final choice.

Different clues reveal different pieces of information, including:

  • Keep Best Five — reveals the rarity of a card without providing its specific details.

  • League Reveal — identifies the player's league.

  • Nationality Reveal — shows the player's nationality.

  • Highest Tier Clue — indicates whether the card is a Star or Icon without revealing exactly which card it is.

For active crafters, these clues can therefore turn an otherwise blind selection into a more targeted decision.

Why Clues Matter for Frequent Crafters

Crafting Clues aren't just cosmetic rewards. Managers can also purchase clues using additional Essence, making earned clues particularly useful for players who craft regularly.

Imagine opening 10 face-down cards and having several potentially interesting options. Knowing the nationality, league or rarity of individual cards can immediately change which one looks most appealing.

That is where the Clue Hunt gets its strategic value.

Instead of simply competing for a leaderboard reward, managers can potentially walk away with resources that improve future crafting decisions.

For managers who have been spending Essence throughout the Sorare 27 season, replenishing their clue supply could be especially useful.

Crafting Has Become a Bigger Part of Sorare 27

The Clue Hunt arrives during a broader evolution of Sorare's crafting system.

With Sorare 27, Essence became seasonal, while the previous season's balances were converted using a degressive curve. Previous holdings below 1,000 Essence produced no Sorare 27 Essence, while the maximum conversion was capped at 15,000 Essence, equivalent to 15 crafts.

The new season also introduced a revamped card tier structure. The previous T0-to-T5 labels were replaced by five tiers:

  1. Reserve

  2. Roster

  3. Key

  4. Star

  5. Icon

Reserve through Key tiers can update daily based on minutes played, while Star and Icon positions are manually assigned.

Crafting has also expanded into additional leagues, with the SPFL, Austrian Bundesliga and SuperSport HNL entering the system on August 4, 2026.

Sorare's Digital Sports Card Economy

At its core, Sorare combines fantasy sports with collectible digital cards.

Managers collect officially licensed cards representing real football, NBA and MLB players. Those cards are then used to construct lineups, with performances determined by what the real athletes do in their matches.

Football cards are divided into four main scarcities:

  • 1,000 Limited

  • 100 Rare

  • 10 Super Rare

  • 1 Unique

The fixed supply for each player and season creates distinct competition levels and supports a secondary market where managers can trade cards to develop their collections.

Sorare 27 also includes features such as streak-based boards, Boosted Cards during special events and Arena competitions for higher-scarcity cards.

A New Chance to Stock Up on Clues

The Game Week 19 Clue Hunt gives Sorare managers a format that rewards careful roster construction rather than simply throwing the most powerful cards into a lineup.

With Cap 240, All Star eligibility and separate Limited, Rare and Super Rare competitions, there are several ways for managers to approach the event.

Most importantly, the Crafting Clue rewards connect this competition directly to Sorare 27's evolving crafting economy.

The event runs October 2–6, while the European Nations competitions continue through the international break until October 7. For managers looking to keep competing while building their Essence and crafting resources, the Clue Hunt adds another strategic challenge to the Game Week 19 schedule.
