RavenQuest Brings Treasures Below to Epic Games Store

RavenQuest

August 15 is shaping up to be a landmark day for RavenQuest, the ambitious web3 MMORPG from Tavernlight Games. Not only will the game officially launch on the Epic Games Store, but it will also roll out its first major expansion, Treasures Below. This update introduces roguelike dungeons, a ranked PvP Arena, two new Archetypes, fresh weapons, seasonal events, and a revamped $QUEST token economy — all while keeping the game 100% free to play.

RavenQuest at a Glance

RavenQuest is a sandbox-style MMORPG powered by Immutable zkEVM and based on Tavernlight Games’ successful web2 project Ravendawn, which drew over 200,000 monthly players. In RavenQuest, you create a pixel-style hero and explore a vast, top-down fantasy world. Whether it’s gathering resources, crafting powerful gear, building your home, or diving into PvE and PvP battles, the game offers total freedom.

Its flexible class system lets you combine Archetypes in endless ways, and with Treasures Below, the number of possible builds jumps to over 120 class setups.

Epic Games Store Launch Brings Massive Exposure

Launching on the Epic Games Store means RavenQuest becomes the first web3 MMORPG featured in Epic’s First Run program. That’s instant exposure to a global audience of over 295 million users.

Players can jump in with just one click, and if you already have an account, you can simply switch to the Epic launcher — your progress, items, and purchases all carry over.

With low system requirements (Windows 10+, 4GB RAM) and no platform fees, it’s an easy entry point for both web3 newcomers and MMORPG veterans.

Treasures Below: Roguelike Dungeons and Big Rewards

The headline feature of Treasures Below is the Expeditions system — instanced, roguelike dungeons with randomized rooms, dynamic difficulty scaling, and a clear risk-to-reward structure.

Each run ends with a custom boss fight and the chance to earn rare gemstone upgrades. Gemstones provide not only stat boosts but also a new Luck stat, increasing your odds of finding coveted Shiny Keys.

Want better rewards? Choose tougher dungeon afflictions to raise the stakes — and the loot quality.

Ranked PvP Arena for Competitive Duels

For those who crave competition, Treasures Below introduces the Arena system — 2v2 ranked PvP with MMR-based matchmaking.

You can queue solo or with a friend, bringing your own builds, gear, and skills into best-of-three matches. Season rewards include exclusive cosmetics, $QUEST tokens, and prestigious titles for the top-ranked players.

This player-driven combat system means success comes down to skill, creativity, and strategy — not pre-made templates.

Two New Archetypes = Endless Build Possibilities

The expansion adds Ballistics and Naturalist, each offering new playstyles and synergy potential:

  • Ballistics: Ranged specialist using gunpowder weapons, explosives, grappling hooks, and AoE attacks.

  • Naturalist: Melee spellcaster blending life and death magic to heal allies or poison enemies, acting as a flexible hybrid role.

With these additions, RavenQuest’s 3-Archetype system now supports 120 total class combinations, keeping gameplay fresh and build diversity high.

New Weapons, Totems, and Combat Depth

Supporting the new classes are four fresh weapons and totems:

  • Pistols: Slow enemies with precise shots.

  • Blunderbuss: Heavy close-range firepower.

  • Bracers: Break through enemy defenses.

  • Naturalist Totems: Boost damage and enhance support skills.

These tools expand tactical options in both PvE and PvP, allowing players to fine-tune their combat approach.

Seasonal Fun with the Thaw Festival

The Thaw Festival kicks off alongside the expansion, telling the story of the battle between winter and spring.Players help Kanis, Warden of Spring, defeat Lashinus, Champion of Winter, earning NFT-based cosmetics that boost Renown — RavenQuest’s progression system tracking achievements, collections, and overall prestige.

This event runs only until August 22, so you’ll need to jump in quickly if you want the rewards.

$QUEST 2.0: A Stronger In-Game Economy

The expansion also marks the debut of $QUEST 2.0, giving the token more utility through new sinks and enhanced value for players who hold, stake, or spend it in-game.

Tavernlight Games’ CEO confirmed the team will never sell tokens from the treasury, instead burning them or redistributing to players. This sparked a surge in land prices inside the game, with Small Estates jumping 128% and Large Estates soaring over 200% in less than two weeks.

A Fully Free-to-Play Web3 MMORPG

Despite the massive content drop, RavenQuest stays 100% free to play. Everything from roguelike dungeons to ranked PvP and the new Archetypes is open to everyone.

Whether you’re a seasoned web3 player or brand new to the space, RavenQuest offers a deep MMORPG experience without an upfront cost. You can start now and keep all your progress when Treasures Below launches.

If you’re curious about other blockchain games making waves, RavenQuest’s expansion is a great example of how web3 is enhancing traditional gaming.
