Onchain Heroes Deed Season Starts in Maze of Gains

Onchain Heroes has kicked off Deed Season in Maze of Gains, bringing a new crossover event with Yield Fields and giving players a chance to earn one of 850 whitelist spots for the upcoming Deed NFT mint.

The event began on September 17 and runs for 11 days, ending on September 28 at 4:00 PM UTC. Rather than requiring players to own an NFT beforehand, Deed Season puts the focus on gameplay. Participants can farm resources inside Maze of Gains, compete on leaderboards, enter raffles, and potentially secure a spot in the upcoming mint.

For fans of blockchain games, it is an interesting example of how gameplay, NFTs, and reward systems can be connected without making NFT ownership mandatory.

850 Deed Whitelist Spots Are Up for Grabs

Deed Season divides its 850 whitelist spots between two different reward systems: the Silo and the Raffle.

The Silo contains 575 spots and rewards players based on their performance on leaderboards. The Raffle offers the remaining 275 spots, giving participants a chance to win through entries.

Both systems accept Golden Corn and World's Eve items, although they use them differently.

The important detail is that everything spent during Deed Season is permanently consumed. That makes resource management especially important. Players cannot simply throw everything into the event at the beginning and hope for the best.

Instead, the 11-day window encourages a more calculated approach.

How the Silo Leaderboards Work

The Silo is designed for players who want to compete directly for their whitelist spots.

The Golden Corn leaderboard offers 400 spots. Players are ranked according to the total amount of Corn they stock, with the top 300 stockers splitting those rewards.

The World's Eve items leaderboard contains another 175 spots and ranks players according to points. Rarer items provide more points, creating a different strategy for collectors who may not want to compete purely through Golden Corn volume.

There is also no strict one-spot-per-player rule for the top rankings. A strong performance can potentially result in multiple whitelist spots.

The Raffle Takes a Simpler Approach

For players who prefer a lottery-style route, the Raffle provides another option.

Here, one item equals one entry, meaning players can increase their chances by accumulating more entries.

The Golden Corn raffle contains 175 spots, while the Eve Keys raffle has another 100.

Each spot is drawn separately, and there is no stated cap on the number of spots one player can win. That means players who build up a large number of entries could potentially receive multiple whitelist spots.

This creates an interesting contrast with the Silo: the leaderboard rewards resource volume and rarity, while the Raffle turns those resources into chances.

Farming Golden Corn in Maze of Gains

Golden Corn is earned by smashing Corn Stalks during Arcade or Expedition runs.

The amount players can collect scales with the number of keys used. Arcade runs are capped at 100 keys, while Expedition has no key cap, making it the natural option for players pushing toward a high Silo position.

Expedition Passes can increase Corn yields even further:

• Basic Expedition Pass: +10% Corn

• VIP Expedition Pass: +25% Corn

Players can also receive free Expedition Keys each week by upvoting Maze of Gains on the Abstract Portal.

That gives active players another way to build their resources without necessarily relying entirely on marketplace purchases.

World's Eve Items Offer Another Route

The second major resource path revolves around World's Eve items.

Players looking for the fastest route can purchase items directly from the Marketplace using VALOR. Those who prefer earning them through gameplay have a longer progression path.

It starts with fishing using Genesis Heroes in the Onchain Heroes Idle RPG. This can produce Eve Keys, which open World's Eve dungeon runs. Those runs provide World Seeds, which can then open Eve Caches containing Eve items.

Interestingly, Eve Keys themselves count as Eve items during Deed Season. Players therefore have the choice of saving their Keys for the event or using them to progress deeper into the World's Eve content.

What the Deed NFT Unlocks

The ultimate prize from Deed Season is access to the upcoming Yield Fields Deed mint.

Yield Fields is a farming-focused game scheduled to mint its Deeds on Robinhood Chain, with a total collection size of 3,333 NFTs.

A Deed unlocks an additional gameplay loop where holders can produce resources while playing. However, Yield Fields is not being positioned as an NFT-gated game.

The developers have stated that anyone can play the base game without owning a Deed. Instead, the NFT functions more like an accelerator, giving holders an additional layer of ownership and resource generation.

Its gameplay revolves around opening packs, planting crops, and harvesting yields, making it quite different from the extraction-focused action of Maze of Gains.

MetaMask, Rabby and Robinhood Wallet Support Arrives

Deed Season also brings an important accessibility update to Maze of Gains.

The game now supports non-AGW wallets including MetaMask, Rabby, and Robinhood Wallet. Players can also purchase keys using ETH on Robinhood Chain.

For players coming from outside the Abstract ecosystem, this removes one of the previous barriers to entry.

However, existing players using only an Abstract Global Wallet (AGW) need to pay attention. Since Deeds will mint on Robinhood Chain, an AGW-only account cannot receive one.

AGW users who win a whitelist spot must go to Settings → Link Wallet, connect a supported non-AGW wallet, and sign the confirmation. Without a linked wallet, a won whitelist spot will be forfeited.

Maze of Gains Heads Into Deed Season Strong

The event arrived after a busy week for Maze of Gains. Players created 1,911 runs and burned 26,161 keys, while the weekly prize pool reached $18,313 and player Gem payouts totaled $5,417.

Nine World's Eve items also appeared on the Marketplace ahead of the Silo competition. These include Gas Shot, Gas Chug, Gas Slam, Gacha tokens, Jackalot Helmets, and the Adventurer Mint Pass, all trading in VALOR.

Meanwhile, the previous Dragma Unleashed season has officially been cleaned up. The Rune grace period ended, while the Rune-to-skin Box exchange, Runes quest, and related stash tiles were removed. Players can still open any leftover Dragma skin Boxes they earned.

The latest patch also introduced several quality-of-life improvements, including a more compact mobile sidebar, easier access to the Raffle, improved VALOR deposits, a corrected Weekly Prize Pool display, and additional performance improvements.

Where Onchain Heroes Goes Next

Maze of Gains is part of the wider Onchain Heroes ecosystem on Abstract, the Ethereum Layer 2 developed by Igloo Inc. The browser-based Web3 project includes multiple interconnected systems, with HERO serving as its premium token and VALOR functioning as a USD-pegged stablecoin.

The Maze of Gains 2.0 rebuild introduced persistent upgrades, pattern-based combat, new biomes, and single-use rooms. Runs are designed around roughly 10–15 minutes of daily play, while the Risk Protocol determines the consequences of failed extractions.
