Off The Grid October Update Brings New Cyberlimb and Story Mode

Off The Grid (OTG) Kill The Feed

The Kill The Feed Update Arrives with Massive Enhancements

The cyberpunk battlefield of Off The Grid (OTG) just got a serious upgrade. Its October 2025 update, Kill The Feed, is now live — and it’s easily the game’s most ambitious patch to date. Packed with sweeping gameplay improvements, a brand-new support cyberlimb, the first-ever story missions, and a complete battle pass overhaul, this update cements OTG’s evolution as one of the most innovative blockchain games available right now.

Following August’s record-breaking update, Kill The Feed takes things further — blending storytelling, refined movement systems, and detailed world-building on Teardrop Island. Whether you’re a competitive player or a lore-seeker, there’s a lot waiting for you in this update.

Meet PainKilla – The New Support Cyberlimb

If you’ve ever found yourself wishing for a pocket medic in the middle of a firefight, OTG has answered your prayers. The new PainKilla cyberlimb is a hovering healing drone designed for support players.

PainKilla creates a green healing field that restores health and armor over time for anyone inside it — and here’s the kicker — it automatically revives downed teammates. The drone’s duration depends on its rarity, adding a strategic layer to squad compositions. Expect it to become a staple in team-based modes, where survival and synergy matter more than ever.

New Core Movement: Dodge and Dynamic Flow

Movement has always been a signature part of Off The Grid’s identity, but the new Dodge ability redefines agility altogether. Players can now dodge in any direction, even mid-air, using three regenerating charges.

Unlike sprinting or sliding, dodge offers fluid transitions — canceling in or out of other moves. It adds depth to both offensive and defensive play, creating faster, more responsive combat encounters. Sprinting has been removed and replaced by dodge, while the iconic Roadrunners limb has been reworked to focus on sustained bursts of speed instead.

The Narrative Campaign Finally Begins

One of the most exciting additions in Kill The Feed is the start of Off The Grid’s narrative campaign. Titled Kill The Feed, this storyline marks the first major PvE content in the game, expanding the universe of Teardrop Island and diving deeper into its political and corporate conflicts.

These missions offer players a cinematic glimpse into the dystopian world crafted by Neill Blomkamp, blending OTG’s intense gameplay with a cinematic storytelling experience. More story missions are confirmed to be on the way later this year — a major win for players eager to explore the game’s lore beyond PvP combat.

Achievements, Progression, and a Reworked Battle Pass

Progression in Off The Grid now feels more rewarding and transparent. The update introduces OTG Achievements, allowing players to unlock and display earned features on their profiles — up to three can now be shown on your badge.

Meanwhile, the battle pass has been redesigned into a linear system with rewards at every level. Once players hit level 100, they unlock an infinite track for ongoing rewards. Importantly, the pass now operates independently from the subscription model, giving everyone access to a clear progression path.

This overhaul removes the grindy unpredictability that often plagued previous passes — every level counts, every play session matters.

Deep Gameplay and Combat Reworks

The Kill The Feed update brings a long list of mechanical tweaks that elevate OTG’s core gameplay.

Movement and Physics Upgrades

  • Jetpacks now activate faster with smoother transitions.

  • Fall damage is mostly removed (except when knocked).

  • Sliding and mantling mechanics are refined for precision movement.

Combat Enhancements

  • Distant enemies are now easier to spot with improved outlines and visual contrast.

  • Melee combat feels weightier, complete with knockback on unshielded targets.

  • Finishers now reset all cyberlimb cooldowns, allowing for creative combo plays.

Weapon Balancing

Weapons have seen a full rebalance — particularly assault rifles, which now feature inverted recoil for more tactical control.Shotguns, SMGs, and sidearms have improved mid-range damage, and new ADS adjustments give third-person aiming a clearer view during close fights.

These refinements make firefights not only more competitive but also more skill-based — the kind of improvement every serious shooter fan appreciates.

Cyberlimb and Drone Reworks

Several older limbs and drones have received significant updates:

  • Buzzkilla now auto-follows and attacks.

  • Recon Drone has improved visibility and self-destruct logic.

  • Mirror Breaker clone lasts longer and moves faster.

  • Roadrunners leg gains smoother acceleration and better integration with mantling.

  • Paralyzer arm can now block dodge abilities in its effect zone.

All these updates enhance build diversity and tactical creativity, reaffirming Off The Grid’s unique modular customization system — one of the most innovative in modern blockchain gaming.

Loot Flow, Respawns, and QoL Changes

Loot distribution has been completely rebalanced. Expect more in-match currency (RIP) and better early-game gear placement. New Hoarder’s Backpacks cater to armor-heavy players, while extraction and respawn systems feel more strategic.

The team also introduced multiple quality-of-life improvements, including enhanced FOV options, reworked camera behaviors, and more responsive default controls for both PC and console players. Combined with audio upgrades like HDR mixing and improved spatial awareness, OTG feels more immersive than ever.

One-Year Anniversary Rewards

In celebration of its one-year Early Access anniversary, Off The Grid is running a limited-time daily login event packed with exclusive loot. Players logging in this week can earn:

  • Themed Anniversary Set

  • 24 new weapon skins

  • A new Barret rifle

  • An exclusive DJ track

  • Profile picture and background cosmetics

These rewards perfectly commemorate how far OTG has come since launch — and hint at even bigger things to come.

Off The Grid and the Future of Blockchain Gaming

Developed by Neill Blomkamp and Gunzilla Games, Off The Grid stands out among blockchain games for its cinematic presentation, rich customization, and player-driven economy. Its marketplace integration through GUNZ allows players to trade weapons, limbs, and skins freely — including on platforms like OpenSea.

With more narrative content, gameplay depth, and blockchain integration on the horizon, Off The Grid is shaping up to be one of the most dynamic shooters in Web3 gaming. If Kill The Feed is any indication, 2025 could be the year OTG truly redefines what a blockchain shooter can be.
