Although Injustice 3 has never been officially announced, a newly spotted stunt performer resume has provided the clearest indication yet that the project exists — and it may have already reached the motion capture stage.

As first spotted by MP1st, stunt performer Mackensi Emory listed motion capture work for Batwoman and Supergirl under an upcoming NetherRealm Studios project. The listing was subsequently removed, adding another layer of intrigue to what could become one of the biggest fighting game reveals in the coming months.

For fans of blockchain games and the wider gaming industry, leaks like this are a reminder that development can remain hidden long after a project has become quite advanced behind the scenes.

What the Injustice 3 Leak Reveals

The key detail is relatively simple: Emory's resume reportedly connected both Batwoman and Supergirl to a NetherRealm Studios project.

While a resume entry alone does not officially confirm a game's identity, the circumstances make this discovery particularly interesting. Stunt performer resumes have previously provided early clues about characters appearing in NetherRealm titles before those characters were publicly revealed.

More importantly, Emory is already familiar with the studio. She worked on Mortal Kombat 1, meaning her involvement in another NetherRealm project would not be unusual.

Reports also indicate that Jake Huang, who served as a stunt coordinator on Mortal Kombat 1, returned for the same mysterious project. That apparent continuity between the production teams gives the leak more substance than a completely unrelated casting discovery.

Supergirl Is a Familiar Face

Of the two characters mentioned in the resume, Supergirl is the easier return to understand.

Kara Zor-El was already a playable fighter in Injustice 2, where she brought Kryptonian strength, heat vision and a distinct moveset to the roster. Her inclusion in a potential sequel would therefore follow a familiar NetherRealm formula: bring back recognizable characters while expanding their stories and gameplay.

Supergirl also fits naturally into the visual and power structure of the Injustice universe. The series has always leaned heavily on iconic DC heroes and villains capable of delivering spectacular battles, and Kryptonians are among the most obvious choices for that role.

For returning players, seeing Supergirl again would also provide some continuity between the previous game and whatever direction the next installment takes.

Batwoman Raises Bigger Questions

Batwoman is where the leak becomes considerably more interesting.

Kate Kane's history creates an obvious continuity problem. In the established Injustice storyline, Kate Kane died before the events of the original game. So, if the resume really does refer to Batwoman appearing in a future Injustice title, NetherRealm has some explaining to do.

There are several possible explanations.

The studio could introduce a multiverse version of Batwoman, allowing a different version of Kate Kane to exist without rewriting the original story. Another possibility is that NetherRealm could establish a new timeline altogether.

There is also the possibility of a different character taking on the Batwoman identity.

The Game Still Hasn't Been Announced

Perhaps the most important point is that NetherRealm has not officially announced Injustice 3.

The studio has confirmed that another Mortal Kombat game is in development, while the long-rumored Injustice sequel has remained officially unconfirmed. That makes the Emory discovery particularly notable.

If the resume is accurate, however, the project may be considerably further along than an early concept.

Motion capture involving specific named characters generally suggests that some form of production work has already taken place. It does not tell fans when the game will be announced or released, but it potentially places Injustice 3 beyond the earliest stages of development.

That is a significant difference from simply hearing another rumor about the sequel.

DC Fighting Games Are Getting Interesting

The separate DC mobile fighting game launched earlier in 2026 and is not part of the Injustice franchise. If NetherRealm is simultaneously working on a new Injustice game, DC would effectively have two fighting-game projects operating in different formats.

The two projects therefore do not necessarily compete directly with each other.

What Fans Should Watch Next

For now, the biggest takeaway is straightforward: Supergirl and Batwoman have reportedly been linked to an upcoming NetherRealm project through a stunt performer's resume.

Supergirl's potential return would make sense given her role in Injustice 2. Batwoman is the more intriguing discovery because her presence raises questions about the series' continuity and whether NetherRealm is preparing a new timeline.

There is still no official announcement, release date or confirmed roster for Injustice 3. Until NetherRealm speaks publicly, the resume should be treated as evidence of a possible project rather than a complete confirmation of its details.
