Immutable and Boss Fighters launch Quest Campaign on Play

Boss Fighters and Immutable

A New Era for Web3 Gaming Collaboration

The world of blockchain games keeps evolving, and one of the latest exciting developments is the partnership between Immutable and Pixward Games, the studio behind Boss Fighters. Together, they’ve launched the Quest Campaign on Immutable Play—a move that not only expands the game’s reach but also introduces fresh ways for players to earn rewards while having fun.

This collaboration highlights how web3 ecosystems are creating more engaging experiences, where gaming is not just about entertainment, but also about community, ownership, and play-to-earn opportunities.

What Is Boss Fighters

At its core, Boss Fighters is an asymmetrical arcade shooter with a clever twist. Players can choose to team up as Fighters in fast-paced, third-person arena combat, or step into the gigantic shoes of the Boss in VR.

  • Fighters: Rely on teamwork, gadgets, and upgradable weapons to take down the massive Boss.

  • The Boss: Armed with physics-based weapons and environmental destruction, the Boss player has the power to wreak havoc in unique and entertaining ways.

The destructible arenas, combined with real-time viewer interactions on Twitch, make every battle chaotic, unpredictable, and fun to watch.

Web3 Features of Boss Fighters

What makes Boss Fighters stand out in the blockchain gaming landscape is its integration of web3 technology through Open Loot. This allows players to own their in-game assets as NFTs.

Some of the items that can be minted as NFTs include:

  • Fighters and Boss avatars

  • Weapons and gadgets

  • Limited-edition cosmetic skins

  • Reward Boxes

By owning these assets, players can carry their loot across seasons, trade items, and even earn through leaderboards and events. This true ownership model is a big step forward compared to traditional games where items are locked inside a single platform.

Where to Play Boss Fighters

The game is currently available in Early Access as a free-to-play demo on Steam for Windows PCs and on the Meta Store for VR devices. Supported headsets include:

  • Meta Quest 2, 3, 3S, and Pro

  • HTC Vive (all models)

  • Valve Index

  • Pico Neo 2

  • Oculus Quest (via Oculus Link)

  • Windows Mixed Reality

You can also access the game through the Open Loot Launcher. An Epic Games Store listing exists too, though it’s currently only available to wishlist.

The Immutable x Boss Fighters Quest Campaign

So, what’s all the buzz about this new Quest Campaign? Launched on August 29, the campaign lets players earn Gems—the platform’s core rewards currency—while diving into different types of quests.

At launch, the campaign included:

  • Social Quests – Simple onboarding tasks like following the game.

  • Economy Quests – Linking wallets, connecting game accounts, and staking $BFTOKEN for bigger rewards.

Gameplay quests are set to arrive soon, meaning you’ll also be rewarded for doing what you enjoy most—playing the game.

How to Join and Earn Rewards

Getting started with the campaign is easy:

  1. Sign up for Immutable Play – Use your email or a social sign-in (Google, Apple, or Facebook) to create an Immutable Passport.

  2. Visit the Boss Fighters page – Hit the “Follow now” button to instantly earn 10 Gems and unlock the available quests.

  3. Complete quests – At launch, each task rewards 10 Gems, while the staking quest stands out with a hefty 60 Gems.

  4. Stack up Gems – Use them to redeem Keys of different rarities, which enter you into Weekly Draws with chances to win IMX tokens, more Gems, or higher-tier Keys.

This setup gives players an accessible entry point into web3 gaming while rewarding both casual and competitive engagement.

Why Immutable Play Matters

Immutable Play isn’t just another platform—it’s becoming a hub for blockchain-powered experiences. By offering accessible sign-ups through Immutable Passport and rewarding players with Gems, the platform is lowering the barrier to entry for blockchain games.

It’s also expanding fast: Ubisoft joined as a partner earlier this year, Koin Games is preparing Project O, and other titles like Eternal League are already rewarding players through leaderboards. The partnership with Pixward Games shows just how quickly Immutable is building a powerful ecosystem.

Final Thoughts

The Immutable x Boss Fighters Quest Campaign is more than just a new event—it’s a gateway for both seasoned and new players to experience the future of gaming. With NFTs, play-to-earn mechanics, and rewarding quests, it’s setting the stage for a more interactive and player-driven gaming world.

If you’re a fan of asymmetrical shooters, VR chaos, or simply curious about how blockchain is reshaping gaming, now’s the perfect time to jump in. Whether you’re chasing rewards, testing your skills as a Fighter, or unleashing destruction as the Boss, there’s plenty to look forward to.
