The Star Atlas universe just got a massive upgrade. ATMTA, the studio behind the epic space MMO, has dropped two big announcements: Zink, a brand-new Layer 1 blockchain built on the Solana Virtual Machine (SVM), and Holosim Season 1, the first onchain competitive season for its free-to-play browser strategy game.
Both moves are part of the Star Atlas Summer campaign, running from July 28 to August 27, and signal a bold push toward making immersive, fully onchain blockchain games more accessible and rewarding.

Zink — A Layer 1 With Built-In Digital Identity
Zink isn’t just another SVM chain. It’s designed specifically for immersive onchain game worlds, putting digital identity and user control at the center.
At the heart of Zink is the zProfile — a patent-pending, zero-knowledge account system. It lets players interact across multiple games and apps without those endless wallet confirmation pop-ups, while still keeping assets safe.
According to ATMTA CEO Michael Wagner, Zink is the result of years of investment in infrastructure that can power fully onchain game systems. Your in-game persona can now hold real status, reputation, and unlock value across the ecosystem in ways traditional blockchains can’t.
ZINK Token and Early Airdrop Opportunity
The ZINK token will be the fuel for the new chain, covering staking, transactions, and validator rewards. But here’s the exciting part — 10% of the total supply will be airdropped to early supporters between now and December.
Players can earn XP by:
Playing Star Atlas titles like Holosim, SAGE, and the UE5 MMO
Locking tokens in the DAO
Trading on the Galactic Marketplace
Participating in other ecosystem activities
XP will directly influence a player’s ZINK airdrop allocation. With the mainnet launch coming in December, now’s the time for early engagement.

Holosim Season 1 — A Low-Barrier Competitive Experience
Launching August 20, Holosim Season 1 marks the first competitive, reward-based season for ATMTA’s browser-based strategy game. No wallet is required to start playing, making it a perfect gateway for newcomers.
Holosim offers a streamlined version of SAGE Labs gameplay — resource management, tactical decision-making, and space-based strategy — now enhanced with over $35,000 in prizes.
The season is split into chapters, with Chapter 1 launching in partnership with Solflare. Rewards include USDC, Star Atlas ships and crew packs, a Solflare ship skin, and 0.02 SOL bonuses.
How the Rewards Work
The competitive element revolves around the leaderboard:
1st place — 300 USDC, Armstrong IMP Tap ship, five Platinum 5 Crew Packs, 0.02 SOL
2nd place — 200 USDC, Armstrong IMP Tip, three Platinum 5 Crew Packs, 0.02 SOL
4th–10th — 100 USDC each, plus in-game assets
501st–1500th — 1 USDC and 0.02 SOL each
On top of that, the first 1,000 players to complete the entire quest line will earn the Completionist Bundle — a VZUS solos ship, Solflare skin, and 0.02 SOL.
Strong Early Engagement for Holosim
Despite launching just before Q2 ended, Holosim already attracted 36% of the SAGE player base and generated 12% of all transactions — without any token incentives at the time.
This proves the game’s potential as a low-friction entry point for the Star Atlas ecosystem. Season 1’s introduction of prizes should only amplify that momentum.
Star Atlas Summer and the Bigger Picture
The Star Atlas Summer campaign has been a month-long celebration of new content, dev updates, and community events.
Beyond events, ATMTA also shared insights from its Q2 2025 State of the Economy report:
Daily ATLAS emissions rose 41% to 11.4M/day, but only 5% hit DEXs — showing strong holder confidence
2.147B ATLAS locked in DAO contracts — a new all-time high
Fleet rentals now make up 10% of all active fleets, with USTUR leading in participation
XS ships saw a 12% price jump and highest trade volume
These numbers paint a picture of an ecosystem growing in depth, with players increasingly invested in the long-term economy.
What’s Next
With the Zink mainnet launching in December, Holosim Season 1 kicking off August 20, and more Star Atlas content rolling out during the Summer campaign, ATMTA is clearly laying the foundation for a fully interconnected onchain gaming ecosystem.
For players, it’s a chance to not only enjoy immersive gameplay but also be part of the economic and technological evolution of blockchain games. Whether you’re here for strategy, space exploration, or the lure of rewards, the next few months promise plenty of action.
